Programme community

Yetu / Aga Khan Foundation

Bringing many fundraisers together under one programme

The Yetu Initiative, a partnership between Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. and USAID, worked to strengthen local philanthropy and the fundraising capacity of Kenyan civil society organizations. M-Changa powered Yetu’s CSO-specific e-philanthropy platform, helping participating organizations raise funds through online and mobile channels.

The need

What the programme needed

Yetu needed a way for participating civil society organisations to fundraise digitally while remaining part of a wider programme focused on strengthening local philanthropy and fundraising capacity.

The partnership

How M-Changa supported it

  • Provided a shared programme community for participating fundraisers.
  • Kept individual fundraiser pages and progress visible within the wider programme.
  • Supported programme-level totals and coordination across the wider community.

Why it matters

A partner can coordinate many fundraisers under one programme while keeping both overall progress and individual fundraiser activity visible.
